Plastic Pants Cloth Diapers Older Kids

DiapersAnswered by Kristina Randle, Ph.D., LCSW on

Disposable diapers contain absorbent chemicals and are thrown away after use. Plastic pants can be worn over diapers to avoid leaks, but with modern cloth diapers, this is no longer necessary. Diapers are primarily worn by infants, and by children who are not yet potty trained or who experience bedwetting. NOT UNDERWEAR BUT UNDERCARE. Bedwetting is a common condition which affects all age groups. Our exclusive Race Car Diapers specialized for bigger boys between the ages of 8 to 15 years old. Kids and older teens often discover that Pull-Up style disposable briefs are not absorbent enough and too small to be effective. We also offer the Star Training Pants and Star Plastic Pants as a machine.

Yes,back in the 50s to the late 70s,cloth diapers and plastic babypants rubberpants were used on older kids and teenagers for bedwetting.I was quite common back then to see diapers and rubberpants drying on clothes lines where bedwetters lived.I knew kids, mostly girls, who wore the cloth diapers and rubberpants for their bedwetting up untill they were 17 and 18.Many bedwetting girls wore rubberpants with cute prints on them, where as the boys wore mainly plain white rubberpants. There are a number of brands of disposable tape tab style diapers, pin-on style cloth diapers, and plastic pants available to manage bedwetting with older children, and teenagers. These products are suited for heavier forms of incontinence such as bedwetting and many incontinent individuals think highly of these brands. Finding plastic baby pants to fit her big baby might be a problem, she thought, but he was fairly slim and she decided to try the largest pair she could find. Lauren picked out a package of flat birdseye diapers and a package of the Diaper Service prefolds as well as a three pack of the largest size baby pants and a package of baby blue diaper.

When you say “those closest to me,” who do you mean? Other than your romantic partner or spouse, I’m not certain that anyone else needs to know about your wearing diapers. People don’t normally openly reveal these types of interests. It would seem odd to discuss it with roommates, friends and family, etc. It doesn’t seem like it’s anyone else’s business.

This would be an easier question to answer if I knew more about who you are thinking about telling and why. I don’t see why anyone needs to know unless you are planning to wear diapers in their presence, and I would wonder why you would find it pleasurable to do so. But be sure it’s necessary to reveal your secret before you do so. Otherwise, you risk making people feel uncomfortable.

There’s not necessarily a protocol for revealing this type of information. Honesty would be best but be prepared for them not to fully understand. You might consider not telling them if you think it will cause problems.

This is a difficult question to answer with so little information. I’m sorry that I could not provide more assistance but I hope my response may help in some small way. Good luck and please take care.
