  1. Ingests Any SxS Card, Fast (XQD™, Too) With the installation of Sony® drivers on your computer, the Echo ExpressCard Pro becomes an SxS card reader, supporting all generations of SxS media, including the latest SxS Pro+ E Series cards. Supporting the cards’ maximum transfer speeds, this Pro card reader ingests files at up to 440 MB/s!
  2. Remove the dummy card that is installed in your notebook's Express Card slot. 4 and insert the USB3.0 Express Card into the Express Card slot (the thinner end goes in first). USB 3.0 PCIe Add-on Card Installation

  1. Locate the PCI-E slot on the motherboard.
  2. Insert the USB3.0 PCI-E Card into the PCI-E slot.
  3. Connect the disk drive power connectors from the system power supply to the USB3.0 PCI-E Card.
  4. Turn your computer on.
  5. Give your Operating System a few minutes to recognize the new hardware before proceeding with the installation.

USB 3.0 Express Card Installation

  1. Turn your computer on.
  2. Press the slot opening on the left side your notebook (some notebooks have the slot opening on the right side of the notebook)
  3. Remove the dummy card that is installed in your notebook's Express Card slot. 4 and insert the USB3.0 Express Card into the Express Card slot (the thinner end goes in first).
  4. Give your Operating System a few minutes to recognize the new hardware before proceeding with the installation.

USB 3.0 Driver Installation

  1. Download and store the USB 3.0 driver on your computer.
  2. Extract the ZIP file from the ZIP archive.
  3. Double click on the setup file (NECEL-USB3-Host-Driver-10200-setup.exe) to begin the installation.
  4. Click Next to continue the InstallationShield Wizard.
  5. Read the license agreement carefully. Select 'I accept the terms of the License agreement' and click Next to continue
  6. Choose the destination folder for the driver and click Next to continue.
  7. Select Install to begin the driver installation.
  8. Select Finish when the InstallationShield Wizard has been completed.

The Sonnet adapter requires no software and is bus-powered—it operates off its Thunderbolt connection and there’s no need to plug in a power supply. If you’ve got a Mac with Thunderbolt 3 ports, you can use the Echo adapter by connecting an Apple® Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) to Thunderbolt 2 Adapter between the computer and Thunderbolt cable connected to the Sonnet adapter.
