Installing Mingw W64

This section will go over the basic requirements of building Allegro 5. There are quite a few optional dependencies that you would probably like to have support for compiled in. Don't worry, we'll get to that. First the build tools, and then second, the dependencies, and third, allegro.

Before that, here are a few downloads made available for your convenience :

Noticed some warnings while installing MinGW on ArchWSL2. Also tested with ArchWSL but the install completes without any warnings there. # pacman -S mingw-w64-gcc resolving dependencies. Looking for conflicting packages. Installing the 64-bit Version Once you've downloaded the installer, follow the steps below to install and configure the tools. Navigate to the folder that contains the MinGW-64 installer mingw-w64-install.exe. This will probably be your Downloads folder. Run the installer. The initial screen of the installer is shown.
